At present, there are a variety of design strategies for artists, designers and architects that deal with emerging field of new media and physical computing. The construction of moving and living buildings is arguably one of the most profound paradigm shifts in the creative discipline. Notably, the office of architect, Zaha Hadid and the Gehry Technologies of architect, Frank Gehry are some of the main streams that apply physical computing in architectural environments. In the Graduate Media Design Program of Art Center College Of Design, designers explore the relationships between the human, environment and technology by situating computation in nontraditional contexts. My thesis at Art Center College of Design focused on studying new modes of interactive experiences by using I/O control devices to create an idiosyncratic installation that portraits new inscription of movements in digitally enabled environments.

Responsive Causality is an exploration of ways to push the boundaries of conventional spatial practice. By simulating a chain of events across distributed media in a built environment, the project studies how embedded technology could change people’s notion of their surroundings. The design examines the inscription of movement in an architectural space and aims to find the new meanings of space in a future of digitally enabled environments.
